JOHN J. HEALY Jr. is Co-Founder of Hyde Street Holdings. John is intellectually curious, has an urban sensibility and a high regard for aesthetics. Together these qualities have motived him to a lifelong pursuit of value driven possibilities. With BBA and MBA degrees in Finance from Hofstra, and a career in NYC banking based on his MAI Designation, he moved to San Francisco.
There he combined his love of travel, a desire to create value and his passion to serve. He founded a number of companies and served on San Francisco’s Architectural Heritage and Napa Valley Community Housing Boards. John and Trish moved to Raleigh in 2004 and currently serves on the Alexander YMCA Advisory Board, on the Finance Council of Sacred Heart Cathedral, and on the board of Research Triangle Chapter NACD.
He was also the former chair of ULI Triangle District Council and currently serves in his second term of ULI Trustee and as a member of the ULI Foundation Board. Among his many other career accomplishments, John was a member of the boards of AvalonBay (AVB) and Libritas (sold to Next Web) and was Independent Council to Prologis Targeted U.S. Logistics Fund.
John and Trish live in an 1878 home in Historic Oakwood named Geranium Valley where, along with their beagle Barclay, they greatly enjoy the lifestyle of an urbanizing city. He fervently believes in classic values, modern applications, walkability and leaving the earth a better place. Hargett Place is simply a physical manifestation of those beliefs.
PATRICIA R. HEALY (“TRISH”) is Co-Founder of Hyde Street Holdings. Trish has a love of numbers, a creative mind, a caring heart and burning desire to give back. Her list of philanthropic board service is long and includes, The S.F. Landscape Garden Show, San Francisco Recs and Parks and Larkin Street. Locally, she has been the chair of the Green Chair Project and on the boards of North Carolina Symphony; the Contemporary Art Museum Foundation; ArtSpace; VAE; Burning Coal, and Catholic Charities of Raleigh Diocese.
Like her husband John, the Urban Land Institute (ULI) is a large part of her life. Among many ULI activities she has chaired two product councils, the Annual Fund, sat on its Global Nom. and Gov. Committee and now serves as ULI’s Founding Chairman of the America’s. Professionally she has served as an Independent Director for RREEF America III, and presently serves on the Board of the M&F Bank Holding Company.
A southern girl, with Texas roots, and degrees from Tulane, Southern Methodist University and The American Graduate School of International Management, their move to Raleigh, was like coming home. But after time in NYC and San Francisco, it afforded her the twist of living in communities that were tightly knitted within the fabric of a 24-hour city, but retained the grace of more traditional home. Hargett place is meant to capture that exact feeling.
